On social media, the former Chicago Sky player shared her enthusiastic reaction to the Dream selecting South Carolina alum Madina Okot with the 13th overall pick. Following the draft, Okot also opened up and shared her feelings about playing alongside Reese during her first year in the league.

The Dream’s decision to draft Okot comes after the organization parted ways with 6’9″ Brittney Griner, who recently signed a seven-figure deal with the Connecticut Suns, which will relocate to Houston, Texas, in 2027. Okot started playing basketball only six years ago, according to the Greenville News. She played 3×3 basketball for Kenya’s national team before playing for Zetech University, Mississippi State, and finally South Carolina.
