SupernetGlobal has launched its first satellite-based connectivity service in Africa, marking its entry into the continent as part of its international expansion strategy, according to a filing with the PSX on Wednesday. The company said the deployment has been carried out in Tanzania, where it is providing high-capacity internet connectivity using satellite infrastructure. This move extends SupernetGlobal’s operational footprint beyond its existing international presence through UAE operations.
The project represents the company’s first satellite-based service in Africa and signals a broader push into markets with limited traditional digital infrastructure. SupernetGlobal said the deployment is aimed at addressing connectivity gaps in remote and underserved regions, where access to reliable and high-speed internet remains limited. Satellite-based solutions, it noted, offer scalable and rapidly deployable alternatives to conventional networks.
The company said its experience in satellite communications and mission-critical connectivity solutions positions it to support digital transformation initiatives in such environments. In addition to connectivity, SupernetGlobal plans to expand its offerings in Africa across ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital services as part of its growth strategy. The company views the Tanzania deployment as a starting point for building a wider presence in Africa, where demand for digital infrastructure and technology services continues to grow.
