Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer's exceptional Western Tombstone received a director's cut that was very unnecessary.

Tombstoneis a widely-beloved 90s' Western that's considered a classic by both genre fanatics and general audiences, thanks to the timeless performances of the cast, led by Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer — along with the film's stellar pacing. It's the type of movie that makes you envious of people who haven't seen it, because they get to experience it for the first time. Surprisingly enough, back in 2002, Vista Series released a director's cut on DVD, which included roughly six additional minutes to the movie's runtime. While the Tombstone director's cut adds more to the story and elaborates on subplots that were previously left overtly unresolved, it indirectly revealed how clean and concise the original version was.
