TE Eli Stowers, OT Austin Barber, and RB Mike Washington Jr. with first three picks should make most Broncos fans happy, I would think.

This time, however, we’ll simulate a draft where Marvin Mims Jr. is traded on draft day.

Looking at the landscape and value for a quality kick returner with low-end wide receiver snap counts, I would guess a late fourth-round or early fifth-round pick is likely the compensation we could expect with a future pick thrown in. Given that scenario, I decided to see what a mock draft might look like with an extra early fifth-round pick added to the Denver Broncos buck in the 2026 NFL Draft. We’ll cover that mock draft at the end of the roundup!Broncos daily recap2026 NFL Draft: Denver Broncos big board for running backs and tight endsUsing an AI-generated scoring rubric built around seven years of Sean Payton and George Paton drafts, MHR’s big board zeroes in on tight end and running back as legitimate Day 2 and Day 3 priorities.

At tight end, Eli Stowers leads the way as a Day 2 target — a Mackey Award winner and First-Team All-American from Vanderbilt with a 3.9% drop rate — followed by Oscar Delp, Max Klare, and Justin Joly as realistic fits for the No. 62 pick or the fourth round. In the backfield, Mike Washington Jr. grades as the best value on Day 3, while Jadarian Price is flagged as a dream scenario if he somehow slips to 62. Jeremiyah Love is in the “it’s never happening” tier.2026 NFL Draft: Denver Broncos big board for quarterbacks and wide receiversWith Bo Nix locked in through 2027 (plus a fifth-year option) and Jaylen Waddle already in the fold after Denver shipped out its Round 1, 3, and 4 picks to Miami, both QB and WR project as late-round flyer positions rather than early-round priorities.

UConn’s Joe Fagnano headlines the quarterback board as a Day 3/UDFA developmental target — a 6’3″ pocket passer who threw 28 touchdowns to just one interception in 2025 and could sit behind Jarrett Stidham as long-term QB2/QB3 insurance. At receiver, Iowa’s Kaden Wetjen stands out as a potential Day 3 value pick, a two-time Jet Award winner with six career return touchdowns who would add immediate special teams juice and slot depth.Under the radarNot much going on still, but Bo Nix was spotted at The Masters this weekend. I shared this in the FEED section already, but in case you missed it: "There was a lot of NFL guys hanging around Augusta..Bo Nix looked very healthy walking around..He was hanging out with Drake Maye all weekend"Jim Nantz #PMSLivepic.twitter.com/BX8bfrn7TH— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 14, 2026From the FEEDEasyA wants to know who you’d take from these options with the 62nd overall selection.

I know who the AI took, since he was the first pick in today’s mock draft too. Broncos mock draft version 2.0We’ve got a mock trade scenario where Marvin Mims gets dealt for an early fifth-round pick. The pick number was randomly plucked, so whatever team had that pick originally is irrelevant.

Here’s the mock draft version 2.0:PICKPLAYERPOSSCHOOLR2, #62Eli StowersTEVanderbiltR4, #108Austin BarberOTFloridaR4, #111Mike Washington Jr.RBArkansasR5, #149Malik BensonWROregonR5, #170Toriano Pride Jr.CBMissouriR7, #246J. Michael SturdivantWRFloridaR7, #256Tyre WestEDGETennesseeR7, #257Josh CameronWRBaylorI can’t complain about Eli Stowers taking the first pick. All I want for Christmas is to have my position concerns addressed … even if it ultimately means those drafted players don’t end up being NFL starters.

LOLIt surprised me with the wide receiver heavy selections, but with Mims gone it would make sense to target a replacement. Then with Courtland Sutton aging it would make sense too to keep adding to the room to see if you can hit pay dirt with those seventh round picks. Would you be happy if this ended up being the draft class for the Denver Broncos in 2026?

For what it’s worth, I’d keep Mims for anything less than a third round pick and then some. But I’m a Marvin Mims big play enjoyer.
