The Bengals' local pro day had some names they might target late in the NFL draft.
The Cincinnati Bengals hosted their annual local pro day on Tuesday. Like every year, the 32 draft-eligible players largely hailed from Miami Ohio, the Cincinnati Bearcats and Ohio State Buckeyes, among a few others. Bearcats names included the following: OT Deondre BufordLB Jack DingleC Gavin GerhardtTE Patrick GurdDE Jalen HuntDE CJ McCrayCB Matthew McDoomDT Isaiah RogersS Xavier WilliamsCB Logan WilsonFrom Ohio State: LS John FerlmannK Jayden FieldingDT Tywone Malone Jr.G Ethan OnianwaAlso of note in the pool of local high schools and residents was Jalen Kitna, son of former Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna.
Wide receiver Rodney Heath Jr. is the son of former Bengals defender Rodney Heath Sr., too. When it comes to possible late-round gems the Bengals might’ve had in attendance during the event, Illinois defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. sticks out. Thompson, formerly of Roger Bacon High School, ranked 131st out of 887 interior defensive linemen at Pro Football Focus last year.
