The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Akure, saying the arrest was made on April 10. According to Jimoh, one Ahmadu reported at the Isua Division that two young men had gone to Ipesi-Akoko for cattle rearing, but one failed to return.
He said police launched an intelligence-driven operation, leading to the victim’s rescue. “The victim said he was abducted at night by three suspects and, while resisting, inflicted a head injury on one of them. “Acting on this information, operatives stormed Obasanjo Motor Park, Isua, at about 0609hrs, where a suspect with a visible head injury was arrested.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed and was positively identified by the victim,” he said.
